An artist has an artist's eye - you see what we others don't.
Or maybe I had too many mince-pies!! :)
I'm for RuneE's comment. Sometimes you're meant to see things at the time. I think in another few days you'll see something else that's not normally there.
I do agree, Barbara, and I think this is one of the roles of the artist. To see things that are pertinent to one's self and also for others.
I looked at the animal forms on the window playfully - which I do believe is an important aspect of seeing - important to creativity and well-being. Maybe they have other meanings too.
It's kind of like looking at clouds and some people see different animals or shapes. I think it shows your creativity. They do remind me of prehistoric cave drawings.
Catherine, I wonder if it's the colours that help suggest the prehistoric cave art? The ochre colour caused by the orangey outside lighting and also the flowing lines.
Fascinating forms there. I have been admiring the frost ferns on my greenhouse ~ alas no more :)
Frost is so beautiful Anna - but I have to say I'm glad not to see it at the moment! :)
Can absolutely see where you get the idea of bison and buffaloes! Its so much fun when suddenly something pops up from nowhere from the branch of a tree, a bush on the side of the road, a cloud that transforms from a poodle to a banana by the time its passed from the windscreen to the back window of your car. Transient images enriching our lives. Thanks for sharing.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year.

Glad you enjoyed the bison! I too like looking at shapes in the clouds, got told off for it by my driving instructor, so now I reserve it for when I'm a passenger! :)
Happy New Year to you Maureen.
They look like the cro-magnon cave paintings just near here.
Those are enormous icicles pictured on your side bar!
Lucky you living near to the cave paintings, Rob!
The icicles were huge - even better than last year!
I see it too, just like a cave painting!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, Crafty Green Poet!
Beautiful colours.
Esther
They were, Esther - caused by the outside light shining and transforming the rather dingy grey rollerblind!
The entropic cinema-show of ice as it descends into chaos. Happy New Year, Ingrid.
Love the description! Happy New Year, Prospero!
I love the icy cave paintings (and Prospero's description thereof :) but wonder about the temperature of the kitchen adjacent to the window.
Over at mine you've asked if I moved the camera while exposing - yes, gently, but most of the movement comes from the car driving along the lights.
Anywhoo, a very happy New Year!
Happy New Year, Bim!
I must try 'light painting' with the camera, your photos looked amazing!
